Description
He was sat just by my house, I walked right by him and he hardly moved. So I rushed upstairs to get my camera and he was still there in the same place. I guess he can't have been out of the nest long or he would have known that people are bad. I hope he survives okay!

From what I've learned (we have a few of these guys a year) if they're still and silent, even if you go up to it, there's more than likely something wrong with it, like shock (a common thing they do die of sadly - they get stressed) and salmonella, if they don't move, odds are they have it and have been abandoned.
(Parents still look after fledglings for a few days after they leave the nest!)
My father has a license in looking after wild birds, so if they're ill we try to save them. ^^
It looks quite a lot like Blue:

Our recent fledgling, though he died because he salmonella and was too dehydrated to survive, furthermore the poor guy got hypothermia before we were certain taking him indoors would be ok. ;(
The bird you have in this picture looks quite similar to Blue, so I'm guessing it's a Jackdaw.
